- How many people does the house sleep?
- Ten. All four bedrooms are upstairs: a king suite with a private riverfront balcony, two queen rooms, and a bunk room with custom wood bunks that works well for children. There are two full baths upstairs and a half bath on the main floor.
- Where exactly is the property?
- On the Little Blackwater River just outside Cambridge, Maryland, on a 70-acre working farm inside Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. Downtown Cambridge is five minutes away. The last mile in is a dirt and gravel drive.
- When is the pool open?
- Memorial Day through October. It is an in-ground pool ranging from three to eight feet deep, with lounge areas and outdoor dining for ten around it.
- Are pets allowed?
- Yes, pets are welcome. There are five acres of open lawn and farm roads to walk. Let us know what you are bringing when you book.
- Can we use the dock, the kayaks and the bikes?
- All of it is included. The dock is private and yours for fishing or paddling, and there are three kayaks with paddles and life jackets plus six bikes for the farm roads or the ride into town.
- Is there reliable internet for working?
- Yes. Starlink runs at about 300 Mbps throughout the house, and there is a dedicated workspace with a view over the water. Cell coverage from most major carriers is strong.
- What are check-in and check-out?
- Check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM, with self check-in. Early check-in and late check-out are ours to approve when the calendar allows, so please ask.
- Where do we park?
- On the property, with room for up to six vehicles. No permit and no street parking to sort out.
